Did not get any response to the above and I will have an opportunity to work 
with this computer again in a few days.

If I were to partition the disks as suggested above - and which is not 
supported by the CentOS 7 installation software (anaconda?) - which software 
would be suggested to use to partition the disks prior to installing CentOS 7?
