I was asking weeks ago if anybody managed to run device emulator with networking inside virtualbox. Got only one negative answer. The problem was that it was impossible to "bind" the virtual network adaptor of VirtualBox with the virtual network adaptor of the device. By installing virtual pc, some magic driver is installed/replaced/no idea, but now it is possible to have networking. The windows mobile 6.1 running inside the device emulator is getting separate IP address from DHCP server of the LAN, so you can talk directly from Linux to the device (without port forwarding). The VirtualPC is not used at all just some driver that is installed when you install VirtualPC.
