It is still much easier to download sources through http or ftp than svn. I believe it is still a recomended guideline from FSF. Since we do release FSF software ... Better late than never. If you don't want to upload them yourself, I can do it. For source releases: Don't forget that svn checkouts contains a duplicate of every file under the .svn dirs, so they should be zapped. There are a few CVS dirs under src/w32api and src/mingw that should be deleted too.
