I believe that IITRAN was moved from the 7040 to a 360/40 for a few years, then to an Univac 1108. All architectures very different from one another. I believe that the S/360 ran DOS/360 with the IITRAN running in a foreground partition. Ron Hochsprung, if he's still around, may recall more accurately. --Chuck
