that is pointless the way things work today since you can't see who the bidder is it used to be that a seller couldn't cancel an auction if there was a bid, and that kept people from selling things out from under you but they 'fixed' that the other thing is people figuring out your high bid by running it up, then canceling their bids. at least now they've changed it so everyone can see what the last cancel price was instead of just the jerk who ran it up
