It seems to depend on which postal hub an item is shipped through. A few days ago, I received an item that was shipped USPS 3-day priority that spent 10 days in Las Vegas (point of origin). All in all, it took about 2 weeks to reach me here in Oregon.
The USPS didn't say if the package was comped dinner or drinks for the layover in LV. --Chuck
