It's funny that you say this because Dijkstra explictly calls himself
a programmer in his 1972 ACM Turing Award Lecture:
"I married, and Dutch marriage rites require you to state your
professionand I stated that i was a programmer."
Claiming it doesn't necessarily make it so.
