That reminds me of one of the “chamber” tests that was being run on an XT. The XT was in the chamber running diagnostics while the chamber was doing temperature and humidity cycling. The lab techs left it running over a long weekend. Over the weekend there was a power failure (not infrequent in southern Florida) and the chamber when it rebooted ran it’s default program which was to raise the temperature to 70C and remain there for 24 hours. The sight that greeted us when we came into the lab was funny. The monitor (I think it was monochrome) melted (I should say the plastic did) and the floppy disk in the drive was rippled. However, we rebooted the XT (after removing the floppy from the drive) and it worked (including the monitor). TTFN - Guy
