I had a failure of a Corcom filter in my Rainbow, it was a different model
to yours though, it too had failed short. I found a Power Entry Module on
the Farnell site and made a crude panel for it to mount it, just like the
socket you are talking about. I would just look at the datasheet to get the
dimensions and find one that will fit. Paul is right of course, that you
don't strictly need one to make the machine work though.
