The other option (which is what I did for the KT11-B drawings I have)
is to take them to a copy place, which often (usually?) have a machine
which can reduce large drawings (usually architectural drawings) to
smaller size. I had mine reduced to 11"x17" (A3, I guess that is),
which I could i) scan on my A3 scanner, and ii) work with more easily

which I didn't quite complete, as I discovered the thing I had was not, in
fact, a KT11-B, but rather a RK11-C) without chancing damaging the originals
(whose paper is somewhat friable at this point).
