With the Intel bubble parts, if they get erased, you have to use special electronics and procedure to recreate the seed bubble. The later Intel parts added a "Z coil" specifically for fast bulk erase, desired for military use. TI doesn't document any procedures for recovery of erased or corrupted modules. Of course, that might make them totally useless. It might, but if they're already useless that's not going to be any worse.
