Right--I really want Windows or Mac OS running the firmware in my routers and DSL modem... I'll posit that Linux has made a bigger splash not as a desktop environment (which is what mostly distinguishes the many flavors of the thing) but as embedded and server software. I was a bit surprised to find that my home thermostat was running BusyBox. --Chuck
