Ya' know, I have heard that several times, but I have eight different Ohio Scientific systems and a couple of SWTPc machines (all of which make extensive use of those Connectors) and I've never seen any evidence of heating. Poor/glitchy data communication, yes. But never any heating on them. Bill S.
