*Dear colleagues,*

*

We are pleased to announce the release of the new PDBe Entry Pages, providing a significantly improved experience for exploring experimental macromolecular structures.

The redesigned pages were developed with extensive feedback from users and experts across structural biology and related communities — including many of you reading this. We are very grateful and appreciative of your input and ongoing support. The result is a cleaner, mobile-friendly interface with deeper insights, new interactive features, and improved integration of data and annotations.

Highlights of what’s new:

 *

Improved navigation with a tab-based structure– making it easier to
   find and interpret information

 *

Enhanced 3D viewers– better tools for visualising ligands and
   macromolecules

 *

AI-mined annotations– residue-level insights automatically extracted
   from the literature

 *

User-uploaded annotations– contextualise and share your own data
   directly in the browser

 *

Streamlined citation views– see both the original publication and
subsequent studies that used the structure

 *

Mobile design– explore and interpret structures on the go

These updates aim to support a wide range of users, from structural biology experts and clinicians to data scientists and students, by making structural data more accessible, interactive, and contextual. For programmatic users, all data served on the entry pages are also accessible through open APIs.

We hope these new features make it easier for you and your community to explore and use structural data. Feedback is very welcome.

With best wishes,Deborah Harrus, on behalf of the PDBe team*
