Dear All,
I hope this email finds you well. I would like to clarify how the Phaser
program determines the search range and step size for both the rotation and
translation searches. Specifically, I am wondering:

  1. Rotation search range: What are the typical angular ranges for α, β, and
γ? For instance, is it always 0–360° for α and γ, and 0–180° for β?
  2. Step size: How is the angular step determined? Are α, β, and γ sampled at
the same increments, or does Phaser adjust them independently?
  3. Crystal symmetry: Does the symmetry of the crystal affect the search
range or step size? If so, in what manner does it reduce or modify the search
space?
  4. Documentation: Where can I find detailed references or documentation that
discusses these parameters?

I would greatly appreciate any advice, references, or practical tips on how to
handle these settings properly. Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Xin
