Dear CCP4,

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the Hauptman Woodward Medical Research
Institute (HWI) structural biology team is active and supporting your
scientific efforts in confronting this threat. HWI offers access to its
resources to critical research related to COVID-19 and drug discovery.

The Crystallization Center in Buffalo, New York is available for
crystallization screening for COVID-19 related structural work (non-infectious
samples). We enable rapid, efficient, mail-in screening for crystallization
conditions using minimal sample volumes. We have a custom 1536 screening
platform, optimization options, and robust imaging capabilities for remotely
monitoring crystal growth experiments.

We also note that the IMCA-CAT beamline at the Advanced Photon Source (APS) is
continuing to operate and collect crystallography data during the current
restricted-access operations at Argonne National Laboratory. Experiments are
limited (1) to those related to COVID-19 and (2) critical research related to
drug discovery. All pharmaceutical companies and research entities conducting
either COVID-19 related research or critical research in drug discovery should
be aware of this. Any work related to COVID-19 will be given priority. All
experiments must be either remote access or mail-in.

Details about the Crystallization Center are available at
