Cryo-EM Data Processing Workshop

This 4-day satellite Cryo-EM Data Processing Workshop (May 6-9, 2019)
will focus on EMAN2, SPHIRE, CHIMERA, COOT and PHENIX. This marks the
rebirth of a long series of EMAN2 workshops previously hosted by the
NCMI in Houston over the last 20 years and this year will be hosted by
the SCSB at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), Galveston.

The workshop will spend one day on tomography/subtomogram averaging, two
days on single particle analysis, and one day on model building and
refinement, and will include a mix of hands-on tutorials and theory.
This will include a tutorial on the new tomography → high resolution
subtomogram averaging pipeline, single particle reconstruction in EMAN2
and SPHIRE, model building, flexible fitting and visualization.
Confirmed workshop speakers include

      * Pavel Afonine (Berkeley Lab, Berkeley)
      * Steven Ludtke (BCM, Houston)
      * Pawel Penczek (UT Health Science Center, Houston)
      * William Rice (New York Structural Biology Center)
      * Tapu Shaikh (MPI, Dortmund, Germany)
      * Thomas Smith (UTMB, Galveston)
