We have an opening for a postdoctoral researcher with a strong interest in microbial secretion systems, complex carbohydrates, and structural biology. The project involves functional reconstitution of glycosyltransferases and associated components implicated in microbial cellulose biosynthesis, as well as X-ray crystallography and cryo electron microscopy for structural analyses. The University of Virginia School of Medicine provides access to state-of-the-art infrastructures for crystallographic and EM analyses.
