Hi everyone Thanks for your suggestions. I found a cooler in the lab that is exactly to the size of the 24 well regular crystallography plates. It is for the crystallographer before my advisor got his position. Probably they were using it for the same purpose at the time that cryo cooling techniques and flash freezing was not developed in crystallography. I think I will just use that, fill it with paper towel and styrofoam to fix it in place. I will probably do the sponges to avoid the splach of the reservoir into the drops. My crystals grow at room temprature. So, no cooling. The drive is long, I should either find a way to secure it in bigger boxes to avoid it to flip over or hold it tight on my lap or on the car floor with some support around it.
