Applications are invited for a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher
to join the group of Dr David Goldstone in the School of Biological
Sciences at the University of Auckland. This full-time position is
available for a fixed term of 3 years to investigate the restriction of
retroviral pathogens by the post-entry restriction factor Trim5a.
Candidates must hold a PhD in structural biology, biochemistry,
biophysics or related discipline. Previous experience studying
ubiquitylation, viral pathogens or protein-protein interactions by
biophysical methods would be advantageous.
The successful applicant is expected to contribute to the planning and
analysis of experiments and assist with the preparation of manuscripts.
They will be expected to work closely with colleagues and must possess
excellent communication skills, be well organized and able to work both
independently and within a team.
Starting date: 1^st Mar 2014 or shortly thereafter.
