Dear All,

recently I got some crystals using the following condition:
0.20 M trimethylamine n-oxide
0.1 M Tris-HCl pH 8.5
20% (w/v) PEG MME 2000
We have little experience with PEG MME and trimethylamine n-oxide, so I am
wondering how likely they are to be protein and would welcome hearing about
any other experiences people have with these precipitants/additives. The
protein was at around 40 mg/ml in 10 mM Tris-HCl pH 8.5, there may have been
a trace of nucleic acid present (i.e. A260/A280 around 0.6).
I don't have easy access to the crystals because they are in Grenoble at
the HTX service of EMBL.

Greetings,
