Well I asked the proctor the same question he told me you need 80 point in order to pass, there are allot of task and 80% of the task score point is rewarded with 2 points 2 or 3 questions where rewarded with 4-5 points and those required allot of configurations the rest is 3 points
For the preparation I use most of the time real hardware sometime GNS3 for IOS, and for IOS-XR I use the test environment at my work I have remote access to 8 CRS-1-3 we use them to mirror production environment and test new IOS-XR releases and features that we configure and sell to the costumers I work for SP. we even have two multi shelf system CRS and allot of 7600 series routers. I will go soon for the next attempt..just waiting for fail conformation and I will book my next attempt. Lab is very well design it covers every think on the blue print.
