Like I said, I can't imagine that Cisco would ask you that. I agree that our explanation of the question is not the best as it should mention that every serial interface that participates in the topology (including the sub-interfaces) has 512Kbps of bandwidth. In the real lab, I would ask the proctor about this and he would definitely give you clarification on this (depending on how you ask it of course :-)
