Just a quick note to pass along... The Service Provider book has had a major renovation/re-look at things done to it. It has not been released quite yet though. So keep watching your electronic file section on IPexpert.com for when we do put that out. The Voice and R&S products have just been released, so that means it's time to go visit the other pieces as well and get them properly packaged. Best of luck to everyone on their studies!

I understand that and i would agree with it BUT my situation is a bit complicated, i have been working in an SP environment for the last 4 years and with MPLS for the last 2 and a half years and i would like to do the lab while i still have some of my SP knowledge still fresh. I know its not about rushing through the Labs but i am thinking its going to take me more than 6 momths to a year to get ready for the SP LAB but i really dont have the time to do the RS one first, since my intention is to stay in the SP environment anyway. However, i have indeed spent alot of time going through the Ipexpert RS workbook, plus thank God for Scott Morris Audio tutorials, to make sure that i cover just ask much in the RS part as possible I know its a risky way, but hopefully it will work out, infact i still intend to the RS after SP--- Maybe , hahaha Anyway, your comments or advise will be welcome, otherwise i hope to get your help with the workbook as i go through it Regards MM On Thu, Jun 12, 2008 at 4:02 AM, Jared Scrivener <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Hey Everyone, I thought I'd send out an email to this list and find out how many active subscribers we have. As you've probably noticed I'm one of IPexpert's instructors (I teach R&S and Security courses having just moved to the USA from Australia), so I figure it's time to drum up some activity on the SP list as I take on my next challenge. Some of you may also have noticed (in my email signature for example) that I'm NOT a Service Provider instructor (yet). :-) Effectively, much like many of you (please tell me there *are* many of you reading this forum) it's about time I follow up my R&S CCIE with a Service Provider one. So I thought I'd see if there is anyone out there who'd like someone to bounce questions around with together as we work towards our SP CCIE's. Yep - I need some study buddies. ;) And to keep the playing field level, whilst there *are* other Ipexpert instructors that I can email my questions to directly (Marvin and Scott for example) I'm going to post most of my questions through to the forum, just like any other student would - so if you've ever wanted to see an instructor make a bit of a fool of himself as he tries to grasp the complexities of advanced MPLS (if I knew the answers to my questions I wouldn't ask them), there could be some fun to be had in here over the next few/many (hopefully few, but you never know) months. For the record as well, just like with my R&S and Security CCIE lab study I'm limiting myself to exclusively using IPexpert materials for my lab preparation (and my Cisco Press reference library for some theory - you know you're a nerd when your favourite author is either Wendell Odom, Jeff Doyle or Beau Williamson). With the first 2 tracks I paid for them out of my own pocket, so I had to be picky in choosing courseware (and chose IPexpert thanks to a colleagues recommendation) as I had to maximise my return on my investment. Now I work for IPexpert (yep, I'm happy about that) so if I used anything else, I'd probably get yelled at by Wayne. :-) If some of you guys would be kind enough to start posting your Service Provider related questions in here too so that I don't feel like I'm totally alone in this journey, that'd be great too - we created OSL to establish a vibrant email list for study questions (as well as it being the place to go to for questions related to the IPexpert labs specifically) so this is where I'll be reading and posting for some time into the future... I hope to hear back from you all. Cheers, Jared Scrivener CCIE2 #16983 (R&S, Security), CISSP Technical Instructor - IPexpert, Inc.
