Hi Jared,

I'm also still on the list although it is so quiet I forgot about it til
now..

I did however help someone not very long ago (3-4 months odd) on this list
and are willing to go on helping. I also want to do the SP exam but my time
to study is a bit limited at the moment.

And to add my bit on the record as well I also used IPExpert to get my IE -
first time lucky.hehe

I will also get some of my buddies here in RSA to subscribe as well..

Cheers

JC

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_SP] Hi Guys

Hey Everyone,

I thought I'd send out an email to this list and find out how many active
subscribers we have. As you've probably noticed I'm one of IPexpert's
instructors (I teach R&S and Security courses having just moved to the USA
from Australia), so I figure it's time to drum up some activity on the SP
list as I take on my next challenge.

Some of you may also have noticed (in my email signature for example) that
I'm NOT a Service Provider instructor (yet). :-)

Effectively, much like many of you (please tell me there *are* many of you
reading this forum) it's about time I follow up my R&S CCIE with a Service
Provider one. So I thought I'd see if there is anyone out there who'd like
someone to bounce questions around with together as we work towards our SP
CCIE's. Yep - I need some study buddies. ;)

And to keep the playing field level, whilst there *are* other Ipexpert
instructors that I can email my questions to directly (Marvin and Scott for
example) I'm going to post most of my questions through to the forum, just
like any other student would - so if you've ever wanted to see an instructor
make a bit of a fool of himself as he tries to grasp the complexities of
advanced MPLS (if I knew the answers to my questions I wouldn't ask them),
there could be some fun to be had in here over the next few/many (hopefully
few, but you never know) months.

For the record as well, just like with my R&S and Security CCIE lab study
I'm limiting myself to exclusively using IPexpert materials for my lab
preparation (and my Cisco Press reference library for some theory - you know
you're a nerd when your favourite author is either Wendell Odom, Jeff Doyle
or Beau Williamson). With the first 2 tracks I paid for them out of my own
pocket, so I had to be picky in choosing courseware (and chose IPexpert
thanks to a colleagues recommendation) as I had to maximise my return on my
investment. Now I work for IPexpert (yep, I'm happy about that) so if I used
anything else, I'd probably get yelled at by Wayne. :-)

If some of you guys would be kind enough to start posting your Service
Provider related questions in here too so that I don't feel like I'm totally
alone in this journey, that'd be great too - we created OSL to establish a
vibrant email list for study questions (as well as it being the place to go
to for questions related to the IPexpert labs specifically) so this is where
I'll be reading and posting for some time into the future...

I hope to hear back from you all.

Cheers,
