Hello Michael, Yes I have the ESTA. it still valid for at least other 5 months. I got it in the last visit to USA. MI was worried about the student Visa F1. Speaking with IPexpert support they told me I need a student visa. But it seems they were wrong. 2012/10/16 Michael Davis - Webquor <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> You need to get authorisation from ESTA. Don't risk it. If you don't have it they can send you home. It takes 5 mins. All you need is your passport number and some flight/accommodation details. Do not go to the US without your ESTA authorisation number https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/ It is very simple and ensures you will not have any problems. The approval number is then valid for 2 years. At least here in Dublin (where I live) we have the US borders at the airport. So at the worst I will go back home. :) Thanks Cristiano 2012/10/16 Simon Baumann <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> I told the officer that I attend an training. Worked both times when I visited the US. Business or for the course? I'll bring with me the invitation letter from IPExpert as well. By the way looking forward to meet you in person!! :) 2012/10/16 Marko Milivojevic <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> You *do not* need F1. ESTA is just fine. You are not coming to a licensed school to study. The visit qualifies as a business visit. -- Marko Milivojevic - CCIE #18427 (SP R&S) Senior CCIE Instructor - IPexpert On Tue, Oct 16, 2012 at 11:21 AM, Cristiano Guerrieri <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> wrote: Hello Marko, I'm Italian and I'm going to attend a course in San Jose next week. I have the ESTA VISA (visitors form Europe need it). Do you think do I need F1 Visa. I just not understanding what I need. Looking at the USA government web site seems like I won't get access to the states. Now I'm a bit worried Thanks Cristiano 2012/3/20 Marko Milivojevic <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> Correct, B1/B2 visa is required. You don't need a STUDENT (F1) visa, since this is short-term course, not a full-time study program at a certified University/School. -- Marko Milivojevic - CCIE #18427 (SP R&S) Senior CCIE Instructor - IPexpert On Tue, Mar 20, 2012 at 14:35, Lukasz <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: You are right Marko, This is B-1/B-2 just checked my passport.
