Les, As I stated earlier, we do need to go above and beyond just what's in the IPX material because it's a necessity. However, it would be nice if the practice labs and VOD would have been more representative in terms of level of detail that is required on the actual lab exam itself. It's my opinion and which is obviously shared by some others that some of the IPX material will lead you to believe that some services will require little more than the basic configuration. They obviously stress your ability to use the DocCD to find more detailed information and I feel that I have a pretty good handle on the DocCD, but sometimes the time just isn't there.
All of that said, I get that you're on the high of just passing your written, but I'd say that it's a bit much to say it's "nothing to be doing the extra that is needed to pass the exam". In fact, I'd say it's a lot more than what you think right now. Do you honestly believe that you have the time and energy to read the entire DocCD, Lab everything up and the recall it all on the day of your lab? If you do and that's "nothing" for you, then I commend and envy your abilities. On Mar 5, 2012, at 2:09 PM, Les Waller wrote: > The CCIE candidates could also do more.
