There may have been a limitation in 12.2 or 12.3 but not in 12.4.
Configuration guide is here.

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_RS] Vol1, lab27. .... MP-BGP TAC support

Morning guys, vol 1 lab 27 plays with MP-BGP, but states that this is
only supported by TAC on higher end platforms.

Question is, how do we know this? Where is it detailed? I can't find
it on the docs. Would like to understand this limitation, and no
where to look if I have a requirement.... Sure this will change for
various hardware platforms at some point.

Thanks
