When i check it on 4500 or 6500 series, etherchannel default on
source-dest-ip load-balancing.

for this OEQ question, i think if traffic is destined for a router, then
a better load-balance type will be based one source traffic.
Whether it's source mac or source ip.
Because if we use load-balance based on destination, it will use the
same link/port over and over.

for the scenario from Marko, default load-balance will be based on the
switch devices itself.
Which port will be used first, i still can't find the reference.
But we can test it out, on the Switch Processor console by emulating
traffic form certain IP/MAC to other IP/MAC

Are you sure about that? How does the load sharing algorithm work for
EtherChannels?
