Question: What is the preferable method of EtherChannel load balancing when
traffic in either direction is destined for a router?
IPexpert Answer: A method based on L3 information (source/destination IP
address)

My answer: A method based on source L2 information (source MAC address)

You have the choice between the 2 answers.

 I am thinking number 2 assuming R2 has IP of 10.0.24.2 on the R2 - R4 link.
May need next-hop-self neighbor command on R4 peering with R3.

Hi
Taqdir,

A
couple of things i want to point out. Don’t know wether it’s related to the
problem or no.
1.
No
iBGP session between R1 and R2
2.
What
IGP routing protocol did you use? Have you checked the next hop reachability
for
the second entry?

May
it helps! J

Dani

Hi
all,

 Please see my attached
diagram.. where I am advertising 10.0.12.0/24
on R1 and R2.

Assume R1 and R2 are
ISP

and R3 and R4 are customer
routers

on R3... I want to divert
the internal traffic to R4 using weight...but even after clearing session so
many times.. BGP next hop still points to R1..

I even used local pref on
R4...but still doesnt work...is there anything wrong in my config...or I m
missing any step..!
