Cyrus,

The SRND guides are now called Design Guides. The following URL has the
Internetworks Design Guide

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/internetworking/design/guide/nd2003.html

But as things like this are not available to you in the lab I don't
recommend relying on them. Also depending on the technology a lot of the
time if you type in www.cisco.com/go/<technology> for example
www.cisco.com/go/nac it will give you design guides for specific
technologies. It doesn't work for everything.

The following should be your primary source of study.

http://www.cisco.com/cisco/web/psa/default.html

Anything else, you are spending time reading something that you don't have
access to so it doesn't provide the benefit you need to be prepared for the
exam.

If you cannot find something that you think should be there a lot of the
time if you use Google to search the documentation using something like "BGP
dampening site:www.cisco.com/en/us/products" it can help you to find what
you are looking for. You can then go back to the main page I gave above to
figure out how to get to the particular web page you found from the Google
search.

Good luck in your studies.

Regards,

Tyson Scott - CCIE #13513 R&S, Security, and SP

Team,
Just FYI since I was not able to find a solid answer in the thread
regarding what the acronym stood for it is Solution Reference Network Design
guides, or SRNDs. Now stop confusing me with new acronyms, I thought I had
missed something important. :- )

Thanks,

None of the SRNDs are suitable for CCIE (in my view), as SRNDs show
one best practice. Good for real world stuff and overviews but I
really dont think they help much with a lab.

Stick with vendor material and use that.

Matt

Someone was arguing that we need to grasp SRNDs perfectly for us to pass
OEQ. I wondered what SRNDs he meant hence my query....

Good point... Didn't think of OEQs.

Perhaps someone who has sat v4 could say "yes or no" if the SRNDs are
relevant...

Anyway, if it were me, I would look at the blueprint and see which
SRNDs match or have a similar thing going to what is in the blueprint.
Ie - ignore the ones on UC for starters :P

Matt

It never hurts to read more documentation. However, I would not expect most
OEQ material would come out of proper network design. You may find this
link useful though for general knowledge and / or interesting reads! I wish
I had known about these for CCDP :P
