Ahh ok I got you. Yea that happens to me all the time, I put ? mark after
something and it tells me unrecognized command, if I put a space then a ? it
shows me. But sometimes even then I can type stuff after words and it will take
it even though it doesn't show.

That's the explanation I was looking for, I was thinking about what you said
and was puzzled, but now I realized this would be EXTREMELY interesting to me
as well. I tried to google it too but nothing is coming up. I'll keep digging.

There are commands available to you that are hidden and don't show up when you
use the question mark... Crazy I know ;)
Example:
Router(config-router)#bgp bestpath ?  compare-routerid  Compare router-id for
identical EBGP paths  cost-community    cost community  med               MED
attribute
Router(config-router)#bgp bestpath as-path ignoreRouter(config-router)#
You can see when I hit the question mark "?" the command didnt show up that I
used but its there if you know it exists...
Router(config-router)#bgp bestpath as-path ignoreRouter(config-router)#
Thats what I am talking about!!

Eh? Interesting, I don't have anything to add as I really don't understand what
you are asking :)
What you mean by "appear" exactly?

:)

Is there anyway in the IOS to enable commands to appear with the "?"
that are hidden?

I couldn't find anything when I googled it...

Just curious...
