Keep in mind the "drawing" does not show PE routers, we don't know how many
CE routers there are either. It is really hard to tell how big the network
is and size does not really determine the need of MPLS or not.
>From my little experience with MPLS, you need an IGP to build your iBGP
sessions. Since iBGP requires a full mesh, a "best practice" from what I've
seen and read is to configure route reflectors instead of building a full
mesh. The flavor of IGP to use will depend on a lot of things, what are
really your technical requirements, expertise, equipment, etc? That should
drive the flavor of IGP to use.
