I'm trying to work these things out...

My basic topology is this:

R1 -- R2 -- R4 -- R5

Between R1/R2 is Area 0

Between R2/R4 is Area 0

Between R4/R5 is Area 0

R5 has loopback5 in Area 5

R5 has Loopback55 in Eigrp, this is redistributed into OSPF Making R5 and
ASBR (and an ABR since it has both Area 0 and Area 5).

My OSPF database at this point does not show a Type 4 LSA for R5 in any of
my routers.

I add a loopback to R1 in area 1 and all of a sudden I have a Type 4 LSA for
R5.

Why doesn't the Type 4 LSA show up just after the redistribution?

The Redistributed route does show up as a Type 5 LSA once it is
redistributed (as expected).

I hope my question comes out clear enough, if need be I can post the
configurations and the ip ospf database output.
