Hi all,

New (for me) at Goetchius Preserve this morning (8:00 – 9:30) were:

Bobolink – 4 males, and I believe I also had a flyover female
Eastern Kingbird – 3, doing lots of chattering and chasing each other around
for many minutes in what was likely a territorial dispute.
Scarlet Tanager heard singing from woods northwest of the preserve

Also:
Greater Yellowlegs 1
Solitary Sandpiper - several
Killdeer – 2
Eastern Meadowlark pair
Brown Thrasher singing
Hooded Merganser 3 females in flight

At Park Preserve (9:40 – 10-20 am)

Prairie Warbler – 2 males heard singing, both seem to be in the smaller
conifers just to the east of the creek that forms the preserve boundary

Eastern Towhee - male singing
Nashville Warbler – male singing
Magnolia Warbler – heard briefly in large conifers
Field Sparrow – heard singing
Ovenbird – heard singing
Gray Catbird – heard singing
American Goldfinch songs filled the air!

I'm still unable to part with my fleece jacket these days…it’s like I cannot
really believe that it’s WARM!
