Onondaga County
------------
6/15: A pair of MERLINS has again been observed in the city of Syracuse at
the intersection of Oak Street and Highland Avenue. A WHIP-POOR-WILL was heard
calling on Potter Road in the Three Rivers WMA north of Baldwinsville.
6/18: RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS were observed off of Fenner road and Emerick
Road, both west of Baldwinsville in the Town of Lysander. A single ACADIAN
FLYCATCHER continues in Whiskey Hollow in the Town of Van Buren west of
Baldwinsville.
Herkimer County
------------
6/18: A WHIP-POOR-WILL was reported calling at the Shanwangunk Nature
Preserve near Hinkley Reservoir north of Utica. The location given was the
intersection of Pardeeville and fisher Roads.
Oneida County
------------
6/19: A WHIP-POOR-WILL was heard calling at a sand pit on Preston Hill
Road
in the Town of Vienna.
Jefferson County
------------
6/14: Seen at the Perch River WMA - AMERICAN BITTERN, NORTHERN HARRIER,
VIRGINIA RAIL, WILSON’S SNIPE and BLACK TERN.
