Uxio WE have tried going back to 3.4.2.1 and it has created several problems, but that may be VM related. I just had to ask for a VM server reboot due to spurious apache errors that were being sent w/o CAS running.
I think I am going to skip this. The recommendation is to go to 4 or 5 instead of trying to get the old one to work and I think we should probably do that because those versions are being actively supported.
