Southern Plantation Cake From Taste of Home Community Forum
My sister made this the other day and it was soooo good!!! She got this recipe from her friend that lives in the South. Thought I would share. 1 Yellow Butter Cake Mix, Duncan Hines 1 Cup Sugar 4 Eggs 1 Cup Oil 8oz. Sour Cream 1 1/3 Cup Coconut 1 Cup Pecans, chopped Mix all ingredients together and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Plantation Cake Icing: 1 box Powdered Sugar 1/2 Stick Butter 8oz. Cream Cheese 1 tsp. Vanilla 1 Cup Pecans, chopped Mix all ingredients together. If it is to thick, add a little bit of milk to get the consistency of icing you want.
