moist chocolate ring with creamy chocolate sauce
Hi everybody, I'm
a new member of this group. I love baking & this is
one of my favourite chocolate cake.It's an excellent cake with great
taste and texture. It can be served as a dessert with raspberries or
other fresh fruits.
Ingredients
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup milk
2 large eggs
1 tbsp freeze-dried coffee granules, dissolved in 1 tbsp milk
1tsp vanilla extract
creamy chocolate sauce
1/2 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy cream
Preheat the oven to 350F. Butter a 9-inch Bundt pan. Dust with
cocoa. Sift the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
in to a bowl. Stir in the sugars. Beat the butter, buttermilk, milk,
eggs, coffee mixture and vanilla in a bowl with an electric mixer at
medium speed until well blended. With mixer at low speed, beat the
butter mixture in to the dry ingredients. Spoon the batter in to the
prepared pan. Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted
in to the center comes out clean. Cool the cake in the pan for 15
minutes. Turn out on to a rack to cool completely.
Creamy Chocolate Sauce: Stir the chocolate and cream in a saucepan
over very low heat until the chocolate melts. Remove from the heat.
Set aside to cool. Spoon the sauce over the cake and serve.
