i am sooo looking for a cake (maybe a torte?) recipe that an aunt of mine used to make...it was a four layer cake and you cut the layers in half to make eight if you wanted to...i remember 4 layers mostly...anyway,,, and then put the filling/frosting in...it was a mocha-type frosting, and it was made with real brewed coffee, and the cake was made with real brewed coffee as well...she got the recipe in a good housekeeping magazine or ladies home journal or...(?) may years ago...possibly between the 1940's and 1960's and would never give it out to anyone who wanted it...can someone help? Thanks in advance!!! Maryann In a message dated 8/11/2008 3:15:02 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes:
Storing cakes Cover cut surfaces with plastic wrap to keep moist. Store in covered cake keeper or invert a large bowl over the cake plate. Cakes with cream, butter, cream cheese, or custard fillings or frostings should be stored in the refrigerator. Cakes with sugar frostings can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days. source is unknown God Bless Marla No virus found in this outgoing message.
