I agree, I have been recently using the nordic ware bundt pans, the 
more expensive ones and it made a difference.

Also, I made A german chocolate cake on Tuesday and used Light Olive 
oil, it was the best cake I have ever made and it was tender and 
moist. 

So get good baking pans and use olive oil instead of other vegetable 
oil or butter.
