You can buy it at most grocery stores, but I get it at Whole Foods in the bulk ailse. Its a little on the expensive side, but less so if you buy it bulk. It is less refined than white granulated sugar, but you can use it cup for cup in recipes. It is slightly lighter in color than light brown sugar, so it is not "white" but it is granulated.
