If you want to connect both antennas to one radio you should use a duplexer— that way, the rf knows where to go. I belive that most of those kind of radios are desined to be used with one antenna for both 2m and 70cm, which is what the duplexer makes the pair of beams appear as.
I would recommend, if you don't have a dual-band that can listen to the down while transmitting on the up, to use two seperate radios for the up and the down, that way you can montior your signal into the satellite. Good luck, Scott KI5WLJ
