I'm looking for a power supply to power my radios at home. I currently have a Yaesu FTM-400 and a Yaesu FTDX-10. The FTM-400 draws a max of 12 amps and the FTDX-10 draws 21 amps max. I do not see ever transmitting on both at the same time, with that I feel a 25amp power supply should be fine. I'm looking at the Astron SS-30M-AP power supply which provides 25 amps normal and 30 amps peak. The other option is the Astron SS-50M-AP which provides 40 amps normal and 50 amps max.
Is there a reason why to go with the larger power supply? Thanks Rudy Ackerman KF5QYG
