Everyone is allowed to listen of course, however I looked it up yesterday
and Marine radio is exclusively for boats, it is illegal for land based
operators to use them.
My first experience with an SDR was to listen to the barge director on
144.??? in the ship channel, I am at 290 and 610 so they have a good
antenna.
