Maybe this discussion (someone called it DRAMA) will get some new volunteers
or some members to become more involved... Attend some board meetings..
(they are always interesting)...

Typicly there is not a huge push for new board members at election time,
rarely is there more
than one running for an office (once in a while).. I like to see members get
involved.
It really isnt the good ol boys, it is your club (I mean every member)...

Any member at a board meeting can be heard and have a voice (not a vote but a
voice)..

I personally do not believe in the put up or shut up, but rather
everyones voice can be heard...

Plus other than BOD members the club always
needs other people... I do the web, people have offered to help and never did...
a few other people are very helpful...

There are other committees and jobs, Hamfest, Museum Ships, Field Day, Chilli
Supper,
Net Control, The Banquet, Newsletter... And other things..

Not to mention simple RADIO...

We all have our Life away from the club, we have to do what we can for the
club, that
may be little or nothing or that may be quite a bit... We all have our own
problems..

I personally have gotten a lot of satisfaction from the time and effort I have
put into
the club, I first joined back in 1989 or 90 but I didn’t really get involved
in its inner
workings until a few years ago... wow I wish I had done it sooner... FUN...
