Thanks to all that replied to my question. I'm sort of leaning toward a Honda as a house generator, although if I can get either LP or Propane or some kind of gas tank at my new QTH, I'll probably go with a Generac whole house setup like my dad has.
As for the smaller, portable ones, that I would use on something like Field Day or when camping, I'm going to look at all of the suggestions. What would win out over Honda in this case is a longer warranty. I do agree with what one of you said about the Hondas, they should have some resale value if I ever did want to sell, and I think they've been in the small inverter business longer than anyone I can think of and have a pretty darn good product.
