Yes, exactly.  Here it resulted in blocked automatic upgrades like this:

Welcome to the OpenBSD/i386 6.2 installation program.
Starting non-interactive mode in 5 seconds...
(I)nstall, (U)pgrade, (A)utoinstall or (S)hell?
Segmentation fault
Could not determine auto server.
Could not determine auto mode.
Response file location? ^C

Trying to manually input the server and file location did not work then.
