Sorry for an incredible delayed answer. While I do not know the exact status of this error, version 1.6.21 is quite old and I would assume that this is corrected in one of the later releases, available at http://www.gnu.org/software/parted/. Please file a new report if you still get this problem with version 1.7.1. BR Håkon Løvdal
