This list is for problems with GNU make.  Your problem is with the
configuration of the "ODE" software; it probably has nothing to do
with GNU make.

You should ask your question on a list dedicated to the ODE
software.  Check the README or INSTALL or BUGS or whatever file that
comes with the software to find out where to ask for help.

You might want to check whether they have suggestions for information
to include when asking for help.  Version numbers and the output
when you ran make might be on the list.

Good luck!

Subject: GNU make

Hello,

I am using the GNU make-tool in Windows with Microsoft Visual Studio to use the ODE-simulator. It is supposed to create a file that is needed to compile the sourcecode of the project, as it says in the instructions:

Run GNU make to configure and build ODE and the graphical test programs. The configuration process creates the file include/ode/config.h.

However, this file is not created and I can't find it anywhere else on the computer.

If anyone knows what might be the problem, please tell me.

thanks a lot

Gerald Weratschnig
